Not a client yet? Let's fix that.
Quite simply, I'm a contract web/graphic designer. I design
websites, logos, and pretty much everything else. I believe
that design is about communication first, and looking good
second. It doesn't matter how great your layout looks if
users are spending time trying to figure out the "trick"
to using it. It's about telling the audience what you want
to, as painlessly as possible.
Take a look below for a quick run-through of what my design
process usually looks like. While I use this model for pretty
much every project, it focuses primarily on the design of
a website, since those projects tend to be more complex.
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact
me.

1.
FIRST THING’S FIRST. LET’S
GET SOME COFFEE.
The first part of my job is to listen. I need to know who
you are and what you do before I can communicate on your
behalf. We'll start by sitting down and figuring out what
your objective is. What do you want to say to your audience?
2. EVER SEEN A MOOD BOARD?
Next, I'll start to put together some mood boards. A mood
board is an image or collection of images that communicate
the look and feel of a potential direction the design can
take. Once we come up with a direction you'd like to pursue,
we'll move ahead with that treatment for the project.
3. THIS IS WHERE THE MAGIC HAPPENS.
Most of the work is done during this stage, including layout & interface
design, installing your content, back end/server work, and
QA testing. You are a vital part of the creative team, so
you will be kept in the loop throughout the design process,
via your Client Clipboard (see below).
4. A STRONG FINISH IS IMPORTANT. YOU’LL
HAVE ONE.
I'm not happy unless you are. I'll make as many revisions
as necessary in order to finish your project and get it
up and running exactly the way you want it to. I'll be
checking in with you after project completion, and I'll
also be available to you for future updates or changes
to your site when you need them.
